Introduction
Access Trading Company Pty. Ltd. was established in 1995 in Cowra (NSW).  The business was formed to provide metal recycling services to industries throughout NSW. Our core business is to ‘Create Recycling Solutions’. With a strong management team and many years of experience in all facets of recycling, we have developed into a fully integrated recycling services provider to heavy industries throughout the eastern states of Australia. Our key skill is the ability to develop the most efficient recycling systems for large and complex metal salvage challenges.

Branches
At our Barmedman facility we boast a large and modern workshop employing six fulltime mechanics and seven fulltime metal fabricators, with over 1,500m2 of floor space to manufacture specialist recycling industry equipment. We also manufacture portable steel bridges, industrial grade scrap metal bins and rail guidance systems.

Our Griffith branch boasts a modern non-ferrous metal processing facility. Our Griffith staff are responsible for value adding to non-ferrous metals recovered from our recycling process, including processing all copper wire products in a cable granulation plant to extract pure copper granules.

Our Cobar branch was established to provide dedicated metal recycling services to the major mining operations in that area.

In Newcastle we have a permanent site within the Onesteel Rod and Bar Mill. Our function there is to process and load all reject steel products for re-smelting within the Onesteel system.

Our approach to projects
Our true specialty is to take resource recovery problems and create recycling solutions. This process often includes developing the concept, manufacturing the equipment, providing all the heavy lifting and transport as well as marketing the recovered resources.

Examples of these recycling solutions include:

  • Providing scrap metal processing and transport services to Sims Metal. This includes the management and metal recovery from over 40 council landfill sites throughout NSW since 1998.
  • Providing resource recovery and recycling solutions to Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC). We have recycled in excess of 3 million timber sleepers and over 100 kilometres of worn rail for ARTC.
  • Heavy lifting, transporting and dismantling of redundant rolling stock for the rail industry. We have scrapped more than 2,000 railway freight wagons throughout NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
  • Management and recycling of plasterboard and fibre cement waste for CSR Building Products. As part of this service we operate a crushing and screening plant at our Barmedman site. This is done under the strict controls of our EPA issued Environment Protection Licence.
  • Bulk scrap metal transport for individuals and scrap metal dealers throughout NSW and Victoria.
